Spido

With so much water in this little country, the Dutch way of sightseeing is by boat. The Spido boat tour takes you around the port in 75 minutes to see the basis of the Rotterdam economy. It’s the largest port in Europe. The Spido takes you around the harbor to show you the shipyards, docks and the transshipping areas for thousands of containers.

Blijdorp Zoo

Our beloved old Zoo with so much to see that you need a whole day to see everything! Oceanium is the most interesting attraction, which takes you into the depths of the sea through a 26 meter long tunnel. Blijdorp is known to have one of the most extensive selections of animals in Europe.

Euromast

The Euromast was designed by H.A. Maaskant for a huge international gardening exhibition in 1960. In 1970 an 85 meter mast was added on top of the tower. Nowadays the Euromast is a 185 meter tall tower with a rotating elevator on top. It is unbeatable for a great panoramic view of Rotterdam and beyond.

Kinderdijk

If you are interested in a typical Dutch landscape, go to Kinderdijk, a UNESCO Heritage site with 19 windmills built around 1740. Nowhere else in the world will you find as many windmills as in this cute and very very Dutch countryside.

You can go there by bus, bike, car and even by boat. The park itself is open 24/7 and freely accessible.

The visitors windmill is open daily 9.30am-5.30pm (November-March only Sat-Sun 9.30am-5.30pm), 3.50. Check information on public transportation as for how to get to Kinderdijk.

There is also an organized boat tour which departs from the Boompjeskade near the Erasmus bridge (from mid April till the end of September daily departures at 10.45am and 2.15pm) for € 13.50.
